Our Exchange and Returns Procedure

At Japan Scissors NZ, we appreciate that buying online can be tricky without physically seeing the product. As a result, we offer an easy 7-day exchange and return policy. This policy is available for 7 days from the date of delivery according to postage tracking. We accept size, model exchanges or refund requests within this timeframe. We prioritise customer satisfaction, offering a straightforward return form and a simplified process. To start a return, exchange, or a change-of-mind order, simply submit a request through our 'Returns Form'. Your Warranty at Japan Scissors NZ

Japan Scissors NZ provides a warranty for every pair of scissors purchased on our website. The warranty duration differs by manufacturer: Jaguar Germany Scissors: 1-year warranty unless otherwise specified Juntetsu Scissors: Lifetime warranty Yasaka Shears (Seiki): 1-year warranty Ichiro Scissors: Lifetime warranty Mina Scissors: 2-year warranty If you identify any manufacturing flaws, please reach out to us at hello@JapanScissors.co.nz. Please note that all orders are currently shipped from outside New Zealand. The current return address is in Australia.

Defining Warranty Defects

Our warranty covers any defects due to manufacturing errors or faults. If you are not fully satisfied or experience an issue with the product, we urge you to let us know! We follow consumer law guidelines, allowing us to repair or replace goods (or part of them) to ensure a positive customer experience. Our warranty excludes accidental damage, chemical damage, wear and tear, or damage resulting from misuse. This includes damage from chipping, dropping, over-tightening, incorrect sharpening, poor maintenance, and improper care of your scissors.

Our Returns Procedure

If you need to return a product because of manufacturing defects under warranty, begin by contacting us at hello@JapanScissors.co.nz and inform us of the issue. When returning the product, please include the original packaging (case, oil, thumb rings etc). If these items are not in good condition, a restocking fee may apply.

Exchanges at Japan Scissors NZ

We understand the challenge of selecting the right pair of scissors online. Hence, we offer a 7-day return policy, where products and all original packaging in good (re-sellable) condition are returned to the address given by our staff. If the product and packaging are in good condition and returned within the 7-day period, we will assess the scissors and either exchange them or issue a refund, minus a 10% restocking fee. If all original packaging and contents are not included, a further restocking and replacement fee will be agreed upon to proceed with the return or exchange.
