Both scissors are tested by an expert craftsperson in Japan before they ship, checked for edge, balance and smooth action. As a limited edition, the Rose is made in smaller numbers than the core range.

The cutting scissor

VG-10 steel hardened to around 60-61 HRC, with a subtle sword-profile blade and a hand-honed convex edge. The 5.5 inch suits precision and detail work, while the 6.5 inch gives extra reach for all-round cutting and scissor-over-comb.

The thinning scissor

A 6.0 inch VG-10 thinner with a 42-tooth blade and a 25 to 30 percent cut ratio, removing roughly a quarter to a third of the hair caught in each pass. It is a versatile blender for reducing weight and softening bulk.
